Yeah, I completed a stop frame movie
The sale price had me. I thought I would take a chance. Please note, I did not download the trial and I now recommend it. I did a couple of hours research on the web and found some very helpful articles.
I was able to put together a 15 second movie. I used a Canon T2i, and while the USB transfer works, I was told by the software that I did not have Live Preview support with the camera. A little frustrating when trying to get alignments perfect. This is a big deal. I am going to look at getting an HD web-cam to try and make use of this feature.
All in all. I completed a stop frame movie. Family members were impressed at the results.
UPDATE #1: Doing more research on the subject of Live Preview for Canon EOS series cameras. It appears that another software has this feature. This has been in the forums since 2011.
UPDATE #2: Installed the Dragonframe trial on my Mac to test how the Live Preview Overlay really works. Tested it with my Canon T2i. It worked flawlessly. It was nice to have full control of my camera without having to touch the camera. I plan on testing three pieces of PC software - AnimatorHD / iKITMovie / StopMotionPro. This lacking feature is really a mystery to me, when other developers have the features in their software.
